Safety Specialist

Teal Energi is partnered with a well-established and growing company in the energy/infrastructure sector seeking a Safety Specialist to support field operations across processing facilities, gathering systems, and related operational assets in North Dakota. This is a highly visible role responsible for driving safety excellence, regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, and operational support across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, collaborative, and passionate about building a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities Serve as the local safety resource for operations and field personnel Lead or assist with incident investigations and root cause analyses Support Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and compliance initiatives Conduct safety audits, inspections, and behavior-based safety observations Coordinate employee safety training, orientations, and safety meetings Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable state and federal regulations Support construction activities, contractor safety, shutdowns, confined space work, and other high‑risk operations Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and agency coordination Drive corrective actions resulting from audits, PHAs, and compliance reviews Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field OR 5+ years of relevant industrial safety experience Experience supporting safety programs in industrial, manufacturing, energy, chemical, oil & gas, or similar environments Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems Experience with incident investigations, audits, and compliance programs preferred PSM experience is a plus OSHA certifications are highly preferred Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
