SAP S/4HANA Service Management Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Service Management Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Service Management processes within an SAP S/4HANA environment. This individual will play a key role in supporting field service operations, including service contracts, service orders, quotations, billing, pricing, and revenue recognition.

The ideal candidate will have recent hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA Service Management and a strong understanding of how field service organizations manage technicians, service contracts, pricing, costs, and revenue recognition.

This position can be fully remote or hybrid, but candidates must be able to work Pacific Time Zone (PST) hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Service Management solutions.
• Configure and support:
  • Service Orders, Service Contracts, Subscriptions, Billing and Revenue Integration
• Support Field Service Management processes, including technician dispatching, service execution, time capture, cost tracking, and pricing.
• Configure Solution Quotations for complex service offerings, including:
  • Bundled services, Subscription-based services, Usage-based services
• Define pricing structures, configuration logic, and dependency management.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and conduct fit-gap analysis.
• Ensure alignment with cross‑functional business processes across:
  • Finance, Sales & Distribution (SD), Order Management, Revenue Recognition, Billing & Invoicing
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Assist with cutover planning, go‑live activities, and post‑production stabilization.
• Create and maintain functional specifications, configuration documentation, and process flow diagrams.
• Provide guidance on standard SAP functionality versus custom solutions.

Skills and Requirements

• 5-8+ years of SAP Service Management experience, including multiple SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Recent hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA Service Management is required.
• Strong experience configuring and supporting:
  • Service Orders, Service Contracts, Service Subscriptions, Billing and Revenue Integration
• Experience supporting Field Service organizations and service contract lifecycle management.
• Understanding of service execution processes, including time capture, cost management, pricing, and revenue recognition.
• Experience with Solution Quotation functionality for complex service offerings.
• Knowledge of pricing procedures, configuration logic, and dependency management.
• Experience gathering business requirements and conducting fit‑to‑standard / gap analysis workshops.
• Strong understanding of integration with:
  • SAP Finance (FI), Revenue Recognition, SAP SD / Order Management, Billing and Invoicing
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and regression testing efforts.
• Ability to create functional design documents, business process documentation, and process flows.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills.
