Trademark/Copyright Litigation Associate

Snell & Wilmer’s Orange County office seeks a trademark litigation associate with three to eight years of experience to join its growing, collaborative Intellectual Property practice group. The associate will support IP partners in both adversarial and non-adversarial trademark and copyright matters. This is an ideal role for an associate who thrives in a fast-paced enforcement environment and wants to build deep expertise in IP-related disputes. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of trademark and copyright litigation in state and federal court, including drafting complaints, answers, and dispositive motions; conducting and defending depositions; managing written discovery; coordinating document review and production; preparing for and assisting at trial; and representing clients in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), including oppositions, cancellations, and concurrent use proceedings. The candidate should also have experience with online enforcement, domain-name disputes, and portfolio management including preparing and responding to cease-and-desist correspondence; preparing and prosecuting UDRP complaints, handling online enforcement and adversarial take-down matters across digital platforms; conducting and analyzing trademark searches and clearance; preparing and prosecuting trademark applications before the USPTO and in international jurisdictions; managing trademark portfolios; and handling copyright registration matters. Admission to practice in California is required. This is a full-time, partnership-track position that is eligible to participate in the firm’s benefit plans, including our 401K Profit Sharing and Savings Plan with discretionary employer contribution, and is eligible for consideration for annual discretionary bonuses. The annual compensation range is $232,000-$330,000, depending on experience.
