Embedded Software Engineer

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Cary, NC
Duration: Contract 1 + Years
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software applications using C/C++ and MATLAB Simulink .
- Perform requirements analysis, operational concept development, and software architecture design.
- Implement software features and resolve defects according to defined requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, software integration, and testing activities.
- Maintain feature-level software architecture across multiple vehicle platforms and configurations.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues.
- Conduct unit, integration, and functional testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Work with embedded operating systems, device drivers, and hardware interfaces.
- Support vehicle platform validation, testing, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile development environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in embedded software development using C and/or C++ .
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, or Model-Based Design tools .
- Knowledge of embedded operating systems and software drivers.
- Experience with CAN/J1939 communication protocols .
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience writing and reviewing software requirements.
- Understanding of software development and delivery processes.
