Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the emergency department team in a 34-bed ED serving patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, holistic nursing care in a Level 3 basic ED with no trauma designation, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessment, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for diverse patient populations.
  
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and transitions of care.
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care efficiently.
  
• Document clinical findings and interventions accurately within the EPIC electronic health record system.
  
• Manage emergency situations with clinical proficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
  
• Maintain compliance with licensure, certification, and hospital policies throughout employment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications in hand.
  
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of recent emergency department experience.
  
• Possess EPIC EMR experience and proficiency with charting and documentation.
  
• Be able to work 3 nights per week, from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including every other weekend rotation.
  
• Complete all required health modules and background checks prior to starting.
  
• Be available within 3-5 days for required lab work and screening processes.
