Press Feeder

Salary Range $22.00 - $25.00 Hourly

Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm or a swing shift of 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm

The Press Feeder feeds paper into our sheet-fed presses and supports the Press Operator as needed. We're looking for someone mechanically inclined and with experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. If you're looking to learn new skills and are a team player, please apply!

Responsibilities

• Interact with the press schedule and job tickets.
• Interact with pressroom clients in a professional manner.
• Produce quality print most efficiently.
• Follow pressroom procedures for control sheets, charging time & material, load tags, FSC stock, and samples.
• Perform the necessary maintenance on the presses.
• Maintain the presses, pressroom, work area, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
• Use and maintain the Image Control unit.
• Proactively identify and solve problems before they arise.
• Use basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in print production or a similar role requiring mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of printing presses preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to have reliable and predictable attendance.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing for up to eight hours.
• Frequent walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Frequent sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, and reaching.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• This position works on the production floor in an industrial warehouse setting.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
