Registered Veterinary Technician

Paws & Claws Animal Hospital is a full‑service veterinary clinic located in Wilmington, NC that cares for cats, dogs, exotic animals, and local injured wildlife. The staff members are always professional and courteous, and they strive to deliver the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care for all patients. The veterinarians, with a combined more than forty‑year experience, provide quality care for all species. The clinic also offers boarding facilities for pets when owners travel. Hours of operation Monday – Friday: 7:45 AM – 5:30 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Closed on Sundays Job duties include, but are not limited to: Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases, administration of medications, communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
