Registered Respiratory Therapist

Bertrand Chaffee Hospital is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential health resources to our community. Bertrand Chaffee Hospital is located in Erie County, New York, near the border with Cattaraugus County. While the hospital is physically situated in Erie County it is a key provider for residents in both counties. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our busy team. We are considering either Full Time Temporary or Per Diem. Temporary role includes three 12 hour shifts days/nights. Per Diem role requires three 12 hour shifts per month with availability to pick up additional shifts. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, performing cardio-pulmonary evaluations, and educating patients and their families about their conditions. Responsibilities: Perform cardio-pulmonary evaluations, EKGs, and respiratory therapy treatment techniques After appropriate certification, perform arterial punctures at the radial, brachial, and femoral sites Educate patients and their families about their conditions and teach appropriate disease management techniques Carry out decontamination and necessary maintenance of all equipment Requirements: AAS Respiratory Therapy Current and Valid NYS Respiratory Therapy unrestricted licensure/registration (RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or eligible to take the Registry Exam Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $36.73 - $40.75 based on years of experience Why BCH-JBR: Employees love our mission to support our community through excellent patient care, and the wonderful community support we enjoy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
