We are hiring a Process Engineer for a temporary onsite opportunity supporting automotive axle assembly operations. This role is ideal for experienced manufacturing professionals who thrive in fast-paced production environments and have a strong background in process improvement, equipment launch, quality systems, and lean manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and improve manufacturing processes for axle assembly operations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and throughput.
• Manage manufacturing equipment installation, commissioning, and project execution.
• Conduct process audits and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and best practices.
• Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures.
• Lead variability reduction, lean manufacturing, and process optimization efforts.
• Perform ergonomic evaluations and recommend workplace improvements.
• Ensure compliance with plant, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of Manufacturing Process Engineering experience in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of process validation, problem solving, lean manufacturing, and manufacturing engineering principles.
• Experience with assembly operations, process improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and project leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma experience and Lean Manufacturing expertise.
• Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, DOE, Gauge R&R, and capability studies.
• Experience with automotive components, axle assembly, or similar manufacturing operations.
• Equipment launch, project management, and ergonomic analysis experience.
• Familiarity with Visual Factory Management practices.
