The Position: We are seeking a Project Architect with strong experience in DSA , K-12 and education-focused projects , particularly those governed by Division of the State Architect (DSA) regulations. This role will lead technical design and project coordination efforts while supporting the delivery of high-quality education facilities from design through construction documentation.

The Project Architec t will work closely with project managers, consultants, and clients to ensure design intent, regulatory compliance, and technical quality across all phases of the project.

• Full-Time | In-Office / Hybrid Flexibility

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development and coordination of construction documents for K-12 and education facilities.
• Ensure project designs comply with DSA requirements, California building codes, and public agency standards.
• Coordinate closely with consultants including structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers.
• Support project delivery from schematic design through construction administration.
• Conduct building code analysis and technical research to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Work directly with project managers and leadership to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
• Participate in client and consultant meetings and incorporate feedback into project documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and support the coordination of project teams.

What You Need (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 6+ years of architectural experience with a strong focus on construction documentation.
• Recent DSA project experience required, preferably within K-12 or education facilities.
• California Architect license is mandatory
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of California building codes and public agency project requirements.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
