Dozer Operator

Operates tractor equipped with a concave blade for gouging out, leveling, and distributing earth Pushes trees and rocks from land preparatory to construction Fastens attachments to tractor with clevis or wedge-pin hitches Connects hydraulic hoses to provide power for controlling the attachment Drives bulldozer in successive passes over terrain to specified grade May grease, oil, and repair tractor Requirements High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Proper certification required Completion of an apprenticeship program required Appropriate training and experience required Ability to read engineering drawing Practice good safety habits Ability to follow instructions and meet set standards Judge distances and slopes accurately Physical ability to stoop, bend, and crouch Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
