Quality Specialist

Job Title: Quality Specialist Join a growing Quality team where you'll play a key role in maintaining food safety, GMP compliance, and manufacturing quality standards. This highly visible position offers a mix of hands‑on floor support and investigation work, partnering closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify issues, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Do Monitor and support environmental, hygiene, and GMP programs throughout the facility Investigate quality events, deviations, and environmental monitoring findings Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) Conduct routine GMP audits and manufacturing floor inspections Document investigations, findings, and quality improvement activities Partner with QA Technicians, Engineers, and Operations teams to resolve issues Support pest control, zoning, sanitation, and environmental monitoring programs Contribute to SOP updates and quality system improvements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related life science field 2+ years of experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment Experience within food, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing Strong problem‑solving, investigation, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Qualifications Food manufacturing experience HACCP and/or PCQI certification Experience with environmental monitoring programs and pathogen control Knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, zoning, and prerequisite programs Understanding of GMPs, FDA regulations, and food safety systems Strong coaching and relationship‑building skills Why Apply Highly visible role with direct impact on product quality and food safety Combination of hands‑on manufacturing support and investigative quality work Opportunity to collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the facility Clear career growth opportunities within Quality and Operations leadership Stable, regulated manufacturing environment with strong internal development opportunities Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eau Claire, WI. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.21 - $35.58/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
