Specialty: Dental Hygienist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 01/08/2027 Duration: 40 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract GLC Group Government Services Dental Hygienist - Federal Correctional Institution, Bastrop, TX Pay Rate: $53.59/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (40 hrs/week, excluding federal holidays) Qualifications Licensed Dental Hygienist in Texas Dental radiology certification required Anesthesia certification preferred BLS (AHA or Red Cross) 3+ years' experience preferred Ability to work with diverse inmate populations Responsibilities Provide dental prophylaxis, preventive oral health, and periodontal care Deliver oral hygiene instructions and monitor patient conditions Perform dental X-rays, suture removal, and local anesthesia (if trained) Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control Oversee housekeeping and infection control procedures Manage scheduling, documentation, and data entry Maintain medical records and confidentiality Follow BOP Dental Service policies and standards Physical requirements: standing, walking, bending; occasional lifting up to 35 lbs Benefits Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time Weekly pay with direct deposit Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) About GLC On-The-Go GLC is more than just a staffing agency - we’re your trusted partner in finding travel, local, and PRN contracts that align with your career aspirations and lifestyle.
