The successful candidate will operate with a strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, balancing day-to-day operational oversight with a focus on business growth, relationship management, and long-term strategy.The role will lead and develop the mortgage operations team while ensuring appropriate processes, controls, technology, and governance are in place to support an efficient, compliant, and scalable loan operation.Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldMaster’s degree preferredExtensive experience within mortgage lending and loan operations, including senior leadership experienceStrong understanding of mortgage regulations, compliance, risk management, and industry standardsProven experience overseeing mortgage loan operations from origination through servicing and post-closingDemonstrated ability to develop and execute operational and mortgage lending strategiesStrong leadership experience with the ability to build, manage, and develop high-performing teamsStrong financial acumen, including budgeting and resource managementExperience with process improvement, automation, and technology implementationStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skillsAbility to operate strategically while maintaining strong oversight of operational detailCommercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvementDetailed Job DescriptionDevelop and execute the strategic vision for the mortgage and loan operations function, ensuring processes, controls, and resources align with broader business objectivesOversee day-to-day loan operations, including documentation, origination, servicing, and post-closing activitiesProvide leadership and direction to loan operations managers and staff, establishing performance expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process optimization, automation, and technology adoptionStreamline loan processing workflows to improve turnaround times, accuracy, productivity, and the overall customer experienceEstablish, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls across loan operationsEnsure compliance with applicable mortgage regulations, industry standards, and internal requirementsIdentify operational and regulatory risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies and controlsMaintain oversight of the mortgage loan portfolio, including appropriate auditing and quality control throughout the loan lifecycleOversee relationships with external service providers, including loan servicing partners and technology vendors, ensuring performance and contractual requirements are metPartner with technology teams to evaluate, implement, and enhance loan processing systems and operational platformsDevelop and monitor key operational metrics and reporting to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvementSupport annual budgeting and maintain effective financial management of the departmentStay informed on developments across the mortgage lending industry, including regulatory changes, market trends, and emerging technologiesFocus on delivering a seamless customer experience through efficient loan processes, timely communication, and high service standardsBuild and maintain strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders to support the growth and development of the mortgage lending businessPerform other duties and responsibilities as requiredIf interested please reach out to [email protected]!
