Job DescriptionExchange Parent Aide\nProgram Overview\nExchange Parent Aide is a nationally recognized, evidence-based parent education and mentoring program designed to support parents and caretakers identified as at-risk for child abuse and neglect. Services are delivered in the family’s home, with a focus on prevention, education, and strengthening family functioning.\nPosition Summary\nThe Parent Aide works directly with families to build parenting skills and positive behaviors that promote safe, stable, and nurturing home environments where children can grow and thrive. Parent Aides serve families from diverse economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds and are trained in the required evidence-based model and curriculum prior to being assigned a caseload.\nThe positions will work with families in Duval, Clay, St. John County. Whenever possible, client assignments are matched to home visitors based on geographic proximity. Applicants with prior in-home social services experience are strongly encouraged to apply.\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Provide in-home parent education, mentoring, and support using an evidence-based prevention model\n Build trusting, respectful relationships with parents and caregivers\n Assist families in developing skills that promote child safety, stability, and well-being\n Maintain accurate documentation and comply with program and accreditation standards\n Participate in required training, supervision, and ongoing professional development\n\nQualifications\n\n Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field (required)\n At least one year of social services experience in an in-home setting preferred (all relevant social services experience considered)\n Strong understanding of or willingness to learn evidence-based prevention services\n Demonstrated patience, kindness, empathy, and a positive attitude\n Ability and desire to work with families in their homes\n\nAdditional Requirements\n\n Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance\n Ability to use a personal vehicle for home visits (mileage reimbursed)\n Successful completion of a DCF background screening prior to employment\n\nBenefits\n\n Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for all full-time staff\n Comprehensive training in a nationally accredited, evidence-based model\n Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel\n Simple IRA Match\n\nWhy Join Us?\nIf you have a strong desire to help others, value prevention-focused work, and enjoy supporting families in meaningful ways, this may be the position for you.\nFor more information about the Exchange Parent Aide program, please visit Type: Full-time\nPay: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year\nBenefits:\n\n Flexible schedule\n Health savings account\n Mileage reimbursement\n Paid time off\n Retirement plan\n Work Location: In person\n
