\n \n \nWe are a commercial General Contractor in the Denver metro area, with a clear plan to scale to $50M and ultimately $100M+, is hiring a hands-on Chief Estimator & Director of Preconstruction. Company details will be shared with qualified candidates.
\n \n \nAbout the Role
\n \n \nThis is a builder's role first — someone who personally estimates complex and ground-up commercial projects every week, not someone who only reviews or delegates. The estimating and preconstruction department is being scaled now, the standards and team you put in place become the backbone the company scales on.
\n \n \nResponsibilities
\n \n \n- \n
- Personally estimate on a regular basis; lead and mentor our estimating team \n
- Build and lead preconstruction from pursuit through turnover — constructability, VE, GMP, technical negotiation \n
- Build the standards, templates, and cost database a scaling department needs \n
Qualifications
\n \n \n- \n
- 5–10+ years in commercial GC estimating, including ground-up construction — not only renovation or TI work \n
- A real, specific, verifiable project list \n
- Not a fit: residential-only, subcontractor/single -trade, or owner's rep/CM-agency background without GC-side estimating \n
Required Skills
\n \n \n- \n
- Hands-on commercial GC estimating experience \n
- Ability to personally estimate complex and ground-up commercial projects on a regular basis \n
- Leadership and mentoring skills for an estimating team \n
- Capability to build standards, templates, and cost databases for a scaling department \n
Preferred Skills
\n \n \n- \n
- Experience leading preconstruction from pursuit through turnover \n
- Experience with constructability, VE, GMP, and technical negotiation \n
Pay range and compensation package
\n \n \n- \n
- Compensation: $130,000–$155,000 base, DOE, plus benefits. \n
- Scope and compensation grow with the company. \n
