Be one of the first to apply offer rates tend to be higher at this stage Description American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1.5-2 years of ICU experience and an active NM or compact RN license. Details Work in the ICU, with a Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU emphasis Option of 36 or 48 hours per week Patient ratio of 1:2 Floating required to like units within scope, with brief orientation provided Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) required prior to start Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required Certifications required: ACLS and NIHSS; BLS preferred Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care required Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning Experience managing continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips required Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and EVD care required; ICP monitoring and post-neurosurgery management preferred Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy, and dysrhythmia management required Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and IV insulin protocols required Epic charting experience preferred Additional Information Provide critical care nursing services within Neuro and Surgical ICU settings First-time travelers are welcome to apply No travel pairs or groups accepted Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as locals are not accepted Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation Onsite orientation includes required non-billable modules (average 4-6 hours for RNs) These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
