HSE Manager – Glendale, California As a HSE Manager for PCL Construction Services, Inc. in Glendale, California, you’ll partner with field teams and leadership to champion safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the safe delivery of complex building projects. Identifies, evaluates, develops, and delivers project‑specific HSE training; assists with development of district‑specific training. Reviews project training objectives and trend action plans; identifies industry statistics and hazards and communicates expected changes to project teams. Verifies hazard identification tools are in place on projects and evaluates areas for process improvement. Oversees and conducts formal HSE inspections and audits. Provides guidance and coaching to project teams and direct reports on audit requirements. Evaluates and verifies that appropriate PPE is used on project sites; develops specialized PPE training as required. Develops and evaluates effectiveness of project emergency response plans and executes crisis communication plans. Verifies that equipment and tool inspections are conducted and documented as per the program. Participates in the investigation process per the incident investigation matrix and determines when external resources are required. Monitors work injury and ensures modified work is followed and properly documented. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or a related discipline. CRSP certification preferred (CDN). ASP certificate preferred (US). 9 years of experience in a related industry, with direct experience in HSE. 4 years of experience in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of construction processes and terminology. Strong ability to coach and mentor others. Expert knowledge of OH&S and environmental legislation related to projects/area. Ability to coach and mentor others on HSE processes. Strong communication and presentation skills on HSE topics to senior managers and projects.
