Position Title: RN Med Surg

Location: Portland, OR 97216

Duration: 13 weeks (possible extension)

Work Schedule: 12 hours days and night.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor vital signs, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes in patient status.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a safe environment.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License (or eligibility to practice in Oregon).
• Minimum 12 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience (travel experience preferred).
• Current BLS Certification (required).
• ACLS Certification preferred (or as required by the facility).
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Excellent teamwork, time management, and patient care skills.
