Position Summary 

The Barn Inventory Assistant is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support production schedules and operational efficiency. This role ensures timely availability of raw materials while minimizing waste and optimizing storage. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with inventory management systems. This role will also be subject to other duties as assigned including but not limited to production, task, shipping, and horticultural departmental work. Required to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials within each production area
• Coordinate with production planning and inventory teams to ensure materials are available for scheduled production runs.
• Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
• Run reports from the system to manage upcoming raw material needs as well as cadenced inventory returns area.
• Perform quality control procedures on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Identify and resolve inventory issues that could impact production timelines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of company’s production raw material product type.
• 1+ years of experience in inventory management, production planning, or related field.
• Experience working with ERP inventory systems.

Job Setting & Physical Demands

This position is primarily in a covered area but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required.  Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility. 

Employee must have the ability to lift 25 pounds unaided, 50 pounds with assistance. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, however overtime and weekend work is required during peak seasons.
