Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:

Performs routine and advanced diagnostic sonography procedures to produce high-quality images that assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating various medical conditions. Operates independently with sound clinical judgment to deliver accurate results efficiently, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Assimilate patient history and clinical information to optimize imaging procedures.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring calibration and quality control.
• Identify and communicate abnormal results or imaging findings to physicians and healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with all privacy regulations and safety standards to protect patient information.
• May train and orient new staff members or perform specialized procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARDMS certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• Possess graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent.
• Have at least 2 years of relevant sonography experience in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ultrasound technology, human anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Hold current BLS certification upon hire.
