IT Project Manager – Technology Delivery

Position Description
We are seeking experienced IT Project Managers (ITPMs) to lead the planning and delivery of complex technology initiatives. The role works closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, QA, and other cross functional teams to drive execution, manage dependencies, remove delivery barriers, and enable predictable outcomes.

The ideal candidate combines strong delivery management capabilities with a high level understanding of technologies, application architectures, system integrations, and technical dependencies to effectively coordinate technology delivery.

This position can be located in our CGI offices in Cary, NC; Plano, TX; or Burlington, MA.

Your future duties and responsibilities
. Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of complex technology initiatives.
. Develop and maintain delivery plans, roadmaps, milestones, release plans, and schedules.
. Drive execution across Product, Engineering, Architecture, QA, Cloud/Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, and other technology teams.
. Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, impediments, and cross team and technical dependencies.
. Understand technology components, integration points, and dependencies at a high level to help teams determine sequencing and delivery impacts.
. Coordinate activities and dependencies across multiple applications, platforms, and technology teams.
. Facilitate release planning, implementation readiness, and coordinated delivery across teams.
. Work with technical and product leaders to identify and remove barriers affecting delivery.
. Facilitate planning sessions, delivery reviews, dependency discussions, and working sessions needed to move initiatives forward.
. Track milestones, delivery commitments, key metrics, and overall project health to provide transparency and enable timely decisions.
. Apply Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and iterative delivery practices appropriate to the initiative.
. Use delivery data to identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities to improve flow, predictability, quality, and team effectiveness.
. Adapt delivery plans as priorities, requirements, and technology dependencies evolve.
. Build strong relationships and influence teams and stakeholders without formal authority.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. 6–9 years of experience in IT project management, technology delivery, or related roles.
. Proven experience driving complex technology initiatives involving multiple engineering and cross-functional teams.
. Strong experience in planning, execution, risk and dependency management, release coordination, and delivery tracking.
. Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
. High-level understanding of modern technology environments, including applications, APIs and integrations, cloud platforms, data, infrastructure, DevOps/CI/CD, and security concepts.
. Ability to understand technical discussions and translate technology dependencies, constraints, risks, and sequencing considerations into actionable delivery plans.
. Ability to work effectively with engineers, technical leads, architects, product leaders, and business stakeholders.
. Strong facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
. Ability to use metrics and delivery data to identify issues and support decision making.
. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed technology environment with changing priorities.

Education: Bachelor's in computer science or closely related field

Preferred Qualifications

. Experience in financial services, banking, brokerage, investment management, or trading.
. Knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital assets for relevant initiatives.
. Experience coordinating large scale, multi team, or cross platform technology initiatives.
. Familiarity with Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, and similar delivery management tools.
. PMP, CSM, SAFe, or similar project/Agile certification is a plus.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $172,400.00.
