MEP Plumbing Designer / Engineer

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop plumbing system designs and construction documents using Revit/BIM and AutoCAD workflows.

• Prepare engineering calculations, equipment selections, and system sizing for plumbing systems.

• Design and coordinate plumbing systems from schematic design through construction documentation.

• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural teams to ensure design coordination.

• Review project requirements and provide technical support throughout project phases.

• Assist project managers with client coordination, RFIs, and submittal reviews.

• Participate in construction administration activities including site visits, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and punch list support.

• Support internal quality control and design coordination efforts.

• Apply applicable plumbing codes, standards, and regulations including Florida Building Code (FBC) Plumbing requirements.

• Continue developing technical knowledge of building systems and engineering practices.

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in MEP consulting, building systems design, or design-build environments.

• Experience designing plumbing systems for building projects.

• Proficiency with Revit.

• Experience with AutoCAD and BIM coordination preferred.

• Working knowledge of building systems, plumbing codes, and industry standards.

• EIT certification preferred.

• Candidates pursuing PE licensure or recently licensed Professional Engineers encouraged.

• Experience with commercial, residential, institutional, or mixed-use projects preferred.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

• Self-motivated with interest in technical and professional growth.
