Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Rotating 12-Hour Shifts (Days/Nights) | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry monitoring
• Manage a patient population including stable/weaning ventilator and trach patients, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio, including management of insulin drips and primary patient assignments
• Float to higher-acuity inpatient units facility-wide as needed
• Adhere to all infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday as required by unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience — firm requirement
• Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
• Ventilator and trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt well to change in a fast-paced environment
