The North Allegheny School District seeks a Student Council Sponsor at Carson Middle School effective 2026-2027 School Year. The Student Council Sponsor is responsible for the management and supervision of the elected student officers and homeroom representatives. This posting will remain open until filled. Job Profile: Non-Athletic: Student Council Sponsor Reports to: Building Principal

Purpose/Summary: The Student Council Sponsor is responsible for the management and supervision of the elected student officers and homeroom representatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Encourages leadership skills of students through student-led activities.
• Helps organize various activities such as: Fundraisers Social gatherings Student and Staff Appreciation Assemblies Classroom projects Charitable giving
• Facilitates a monthly newsletter in order to keep the student body involved.
• Holds monthly meetings with the student council officers.
• Manages the funds for the student council.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School diploma required. Associates Degree preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Child Abuse History Clearance
• PA Criminal Record Check
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance
• Act 126: Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training through approved provider established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
• Act 168: Sexual Misconduct Abuse Disclosure Release

Language Skills – Must possess the ability to use the language in both oral and written form. Be able to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Ability to read, analyze and interpret information in order to effectively communicate with the Executive Council, the Superintendent and the Board of School Directors.

Technology Skills – Demonstrated knowledge of current office technology devices, applications, programs, and systems. Ability to coordinate and update technology resources in an organized and retrievable protocol.

Work Environment The work environment will vary from moderate situations such as small group settings to large group professional settings. The employee must be able to work in air-conditioned and heated environments under florescent lighting.
