Make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of elementary students as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting an autism program in a highly collaborative school environment near Bear, DE. This full-time contract opportunity runs from now through February 2027, with assignments at Marbrook ES (now–September) and Baltz ES (September–February), and is designed for RBTs who thrive on consistency, teamwork, and supporting diverse learner needs.
What We’re Seeking:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Current Delaware PARA Permit (both are required)
- Proven experience in a school setting, ideally working with elementary-aged students
- Strong background supporting students requiring physical intervention strategies
- Competence in collecting and analyzing behavioral and instructional data in classrooms
- Commitment to flexibility—willingness to adapt assignments based on program needs
- Comfortable with personal care tasks, including toileting, diapering, and hygiene support
- Full-day availability, onsite, from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM daily
- Reliable transportation and readiness for the full contract duration
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under guidance
- Collect, maintain, and report behavioral and instructional data daily
- Support students requiring physical intervention or crisis management as needed
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and staff to reinforce positive outcomes
- Provide personal care (toileting/diapering/hygiene) as needed, maintaining student dignity and safety
- Remain adaptable to classroom or assignment changes based on district needs
