Controls EngineerQuanex is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team located onsite in Rice Lake, WI.Summary: The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of control systems for manufacturing processes and equipment. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our manufacturing operations. The Controls Engineer will also support troubleshooting and maintenance activities, ensuring the optimal performance of control systems.We Offer You!Competitive salaryBonus potential401K with 5% company match, yours to keep after 2 years15% immediate return if you participate in the company's ESPPMedical, dental & vision plansEmployer paid disability plans and life insurancePaid time off & holidaysTuition support for degree and continuous educationEmployee resource groups focused on employee empowermentWhat's attractive about the Controls Engineer position?Will have an impact on the success of the company.Opportunity to utilize a variety of design skillsCollaborative and team-oriented environmentWhat success looks like:Design and develop control systems for manufacturing equipment, including PLC programming, HMI design, and electrical schematics.Implement and maintain control systems to ensure they meet operational requirements and safety standards.Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify and resolve control system issues.Prepare documentation, including specifications, drawings, and manuals, for control systems.Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production personnel on control systems.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and equipment performance.Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, such as NEC, NFP 79, and UL508.Manage project activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure timely completion.Your credentials:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in control systems design and implementation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI design, and electrical schematic creation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is preferred.The salary range for this position is $75k - $113k with bonus potential.About Quanex, A Part of Something BiggerQuanex (NYSE: NX) is a global, publicly traded manufacturing company primarily serving OEMs in the fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration and outdoor products markets.
