About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required: recent/current Labor & Delivery experience; current/recent high-risk OB experience in a Level II trauma facility is required; experience in postpartum/mother-baby care is preferred; experience with antepartum, C-section, and vaginal delivery is required. No first-time travelers; must have completed at least one travel assignment in the previous 12 months. License: Active Iowa or compact/multistate license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN certification required Must-Have: Experience with high-risk OB; Intermediate or Advanced EFM/AWHONN certificate; EPIC EMR experience Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery specialty. This position requires night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The nurse will be responsible for caring for high-risk obstetric patients, including those in antepartum, and managing vaginal deliveries and C-sections. The nurse will provide care in a 45-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 to 1:2. Experience in a Level II trauma facility is required. The nurse should have a strong understanding of maternal-fetal health and be capable of managing complex cases. The position requires the ability to float across different campuses as needed. Nurses must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of the healthcare team. Candidates must have current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN.
