Position Highlights $15,000 Sign On Bonus eligible BSN preferred 10 hour Evening shifts (4 shifts per week) Leadership rotation call 2+ years of RN experience required Leadership experience preferred Benefits eligible first day of month after start 401(k) with match Tuition Assistance Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to help lead our Acute Internal Medicine Unit. The ANM is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager in daily operations, clinical oversight, staff development, and ensuring high standards of patient care. The ANM will serve as a mentor, resource, and clinical leader, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential. Responsibilities Manage individual nurses including hires, training, assignments, performance evaluation, and professional development planning. Ensure department operational goals are met through effective staffing, budgeting, and resource management. Oversee patient care and develop collaborative plans of care based on assessment and medical treatment. Review staff hours versus scheduled hours, reconcile time cards, approve payroll updates, and manage overtime assignments. Coordinate staff communications, prepare huddle agendas, lead meetings, and recommend annual wage adjustments. Interview candidates for open positions and conduct performance reviews, corrective actions, and coaching. Support safety‑sensitive operations requiring constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience : 2–5 years of RN experience, with 5–10 years preferred. Supervisor Experience : No experience required; less than 2 years preferred. Licenses & Certifications : Current RN certification.
