Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) department in Templeton, California, is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician to support patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery. This role involves assisting in obstetrics procedures, preparing patient rooms, and supporting nursing staff with various clinical tasks. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Templeton, California
• Shift: Night Shift, 3/12s, 6:00 PM 6:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per organization policy; 1 year of experience, preferably in obstetrics; Vaginal delivery experience required; Surge Technician or CNA certification preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Associates or Technical Degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience; Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification
• Essential Functions: Assists in preparation of patient rooms, opening sterile supplies, assisting during operative procedures, participating in timeout procedures, aiding nursing staff with deliveries, collecting urinalysis specimens, recording maternal vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living. General unit tasks include turnover, stocking supplies, assembling charts, answering phones, call lights, vital signs, and updating census logs.
• Additional Information: Call required as needed; vaccinations are mandatory as a condition of employment; vaginal delivery experience is essential; certifications such as Surge Tech or CNA are preferred but not mandatory.
