Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Mon - Fri)

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 / hr ($66,500 - $79,000/yr DOE) + Full Benefits

Are you ready to run the heart of an advanced machine shop? We aren't looking for a passive order tracker. We need a tactical Production Control Specialist to drive the operational beat of our high-precision aerospace manufacturing facility in City of Industry.

Operating out of an expansive 80,000 sq. ft. campus equipped with 5-axis CNC machining, massive VTL turning, temperature-controlled CMM bays, and an ISO 8 cleanroom, our facility builds mission-critical flight hardware where precision is non-negotiable.

In this role, you aren't just following the schedule-you own the shop floor flow from raw stock to final CWI inspection.

What You'll Own:

• Shop Dispatch: Schedule and route work orders across 5-axis mills, VTLs, CWI welding, and manual cells to keep throughput maxed.
• WIP & Bottlenecks: Real-time job tracking via ERP/MRP; spot delays before they happen and pivot machine workloads fast.
• Outside Processing: Sequence special vendor processes (heat treat, anodizing, NDT, plating) so parts move continuously without sitting idle.
• The Operational Bridge: Connect Program Managers, Machinists, Quality, and Receiving to clear roadblocks and hit customer deadlines.
• AS9100 Compliance: Keep job travelers, revision updates, and ERP data 100% accurate under strict aerospace quality standards.

What You Bring:

• 3+ years in Production Control, Material Planning, or Scheduling within a CNC machine shop or aerospace facility.
• Solid hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS, Epicor, SAP, etc.).
• Deep understanding of shop routings, blueprint reading, GD&T, and multi-operation machining flow.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset built for a fast-paced, high-mix environment.

Responsibilities

Here are the primary responsibilities for this role:

• Production Scheduling & Dispatch: Establish daily shop floor schedules and release work orders across multi-axis CNC machines (5-axis, VTL), CWI welding stations, and finishing cells to meet tight delivery dates.
• WIP & Inventory Management: Monitor work-in-progress across all production stages using ERP/MRP systems, keeping inventory counts accurate and verifying raw materials/tooling before setup.
• Outside Processing Coordination: Sequence and track external vendor services (heat treating, anodizing, NDT, plating) to prevent shop-floor delays.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as the central operational bridge between Program Managers, Machinists, Quality Inspectors, and Shipping to align priorities and resolve bottlenecks.
• Quality & Compliance Tracking: Ensure job traveler packets strictly align with AS9100 standards and expedite non-conformance (NCR) re-work through necessary machining/re-inspection steps.
• ERP System Maintenance: Maintain system data integrity by accurately logging job routings, scrap, labor hours, and milestone completions.
