Traveling HVAC Specialist

Job Summary:

Vista Multifamily Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Traveling HVAC Specialist to join our elite Maintenance Strike Team based in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing advanced HVAC support, repairs, and system recovery across multiple regions. Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to properties across multiple regions to provide advanced HVAC support, repairs, and system recovery

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, package units, and controls

• Execute and reinforce preventive maintenance programs to reduce failures and improve system performance

• Identify recurring issues and implement corrective solutions that improve long-term reliability

• Support unit turns, CapEx projects, emergency response, and property stabilization efforts

• Assist onsite teams by providing technical guidance and HVAC troubleshooting support

• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and PM activities

• Ensure EPA compliance and proper refrigerant handling practices

• Maintain safety standards and represent the strike team with professionalism and urgency

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of multifamily or residential HVAC experience required

• EPA Certification (Universal preferred)

• Strong diagnostic skills, including electrical troubleshooting and refrigerant systems

• Proven ability to perform both reactive repairs and preventive maintenance at a high level

• Comfortable working independently in unfamiliar environments

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, and handle physically demanding tasks

• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays and occasional after-hours support
