Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1800 - 0630 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Valid, unrestricted Professional Nursing License from any state in the USA Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) within 6 months of hire National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 6 months of hire Must-Have: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing Description: The Clinical Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration for specific patient conditions and treatments. They must be able to work independently in completing assignments. Guidelines include physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies. Nursing duties include support to individuals of all ages and their families. The organization provides services to a large area and serves as a referral center for multiple communities. The healthcare facility is located in a unique and culturally rich environment. The nursing staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, community health nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and community health medics. The position requires the ability to provide comprehensive patient care and to communicate effectively within a diverse team environment.
