Travel Occupational Therapist (OT)- Outpatient (Days)

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT)- Outpatient for a 13-week travel assignment in Alpena, MI.

Contract Details

• Days, Any time between 730 am and 6 pm. Prefer 8 hour days. / 40 Hour Guarantee

• Hourly Pay: $ 33.40
  
• Non-taxed Stipend: $ 1246.00
  
• Weekly Total Pay: $ 2248.00
  
• Weekend Requirements: One Weekend Per Month (Saturday)
  
• Travel Policy: Facility will not consider local candidates - 50 mile radius restriction
  
• Dress Code: Business Casual
  

This position delegates responsibility to the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Aides. Activities of this position are patient focused and utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with occupational therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• (20%)* Evaluates the patient’s function by performing formal/informal testing measures to determine the skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular status, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.
  
• (20%)* Develops a goal specific treatment regime based on assessment data and the patient’s tolerance to carry-out the treatment plan as prescribed.
  
• (20%)* Submits a written treatment regime to be included as part of the plan of treatment authorized by and coordinated with the physician. Updates to plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patient status. Co-signs verbal orders received by occupational therapist assistant as necessary.
  
• (20%)* Devises a schedule of treatment, which is frequency and duration specific to be discussed with patient/family/caregiver and coordinated with clinical support staff.
  
• (20%)* Educates patient, family, and/or caregiver regarding pathology or condition, patient alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment through forms of rest, exercise, modalities, and other indicated interventions. Provides supervision for Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students per affiliate and regulatory standards.
  

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have OT Experience
  
• Primarily outpatient, some acute care highly preferred
  
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  
• Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  
• Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
