Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies for clients.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions across various formats: individual therapy, group sessions, family counseling, and couples therapy.
• Utilize diverse therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy to enhance client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and current clinical records in accordance with both legal and ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, participating in regular case reviews and treatment planning sessions to provide holistic client care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health research and therapy techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals and families within the El Paso community, many of whom face barriers to accessing mental health services. This role requires a strong commitment to empathetic, culturally competent care, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas is required.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical practices in counseling.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build rapport with diverse clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and related technologies is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse counseling is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

• The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
