Job Description

Performs all routine cutting and staining of surgical specimens, including frozen sections and special stains.

3.Performs special stains.

4.Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification

1.Associate's degree in a program qualified for Certified Histological Technician Licensure or Medical Lab Technology.

OR

Meets education/experience requirements under New York State Education Department grandparenting clause for Certified Histological Technician Licensure or Clinical Laboratory Technician.

2.Licensed by New York State Education Department as a Certified Histological Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technician, required.

OR

Must have a valid permit and become licensed to practice as a Certified Histological Technician within one (1) year of employment.

3.Strong oral and written communication skills, required.

The salary range for this position is $46.71-$56.96/hour
