Description
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients in either inpatient or outpatient settings and implement tailored treatment strategies
- Deliver physical therapy interventions that enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability
- Work closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation workers to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Cultivate knowledge-sharing with patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge protocols, and home exercise regimens
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress as per relevant guidelines
- Engage actively in care team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to guarantee well-coordinated patient care
Education
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent credential from an accredited program
Certifications
- State licensure as a practicing Physical Therapist
- CPR certification preferred
- Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory
Skills
- Previous experience is highly preferable
