DJJ Certified Medical Assistant - Macon, GA 40 hrs/week

Location Macon YDC (Located in Bibb County), 4160 Riggins Mill Road, Macon, GA 31217-5440. Work Schedule & Compensation Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Base rate of $20.00 per hour. 41 paid days off per year. Shifts may vary and depend upon the availability of each site. Responsibilities Triage patients: take vital signs, record patient interview/complaints, and prepare patients for exams or procedures. Process lab requests, including venipuncture. Perform routine screening tests, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, and changing dressings as ordered. Prepare and administer medications as prescribed and note times and amounts on patient records. Enter clinical data into the electronic medical record and maintain accurate, complete documentation. Assist with administrative clerical duties, such as answering phones and scheduling appointments. Qualifications Educational Requirements: High school diploma with two years of experience and one of the following certifications: AAMA – American Association of Medical Assistants CCMA – Certified Clinical Medical Assistant MedCa – Medical Career Assessment NCMA – National Certified Medical Assistant RMA – Registered Medical Assistant Additional Preferred Qualifications: 3 or more years of prior clinical experience, correctional clinical experience, experience with electronic medical records, and bilingual ability. Must possess the following abilities: Maintain confidentiality. Detail‑oriented. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
