Must-Have:
- Strong competency in sterile field maintenance, Foley catheter insertion, and central line dressing changes.
- Ability to float to different locations as required.
- Availability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR system.


Description:
This position requires floating between various emergency room locations in the area.
The schedule will be made in advance, providing clarity on the assigned location.
Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, with a maximum of two attempts.
A pass/fail skills testing session will occur on the first day of orientation.
All nurses will complete skills testing related to Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
Competency in these areas is essential for all nursing staff.
Candidates lacking confidence in these skills may not be a suitable fit for this role.
In addition to skills testing, nurses will receive educational instruction on lifts, restraints, and wound care.
The unit nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1.
Weekend commitment involves working every other weekend, with holiday shifts required as necessary.
Nurses will have the responsibility of performing lab draws, as these are managed by the emergency room staff.
The role requires strong nursing skills in a fast-paced, acute care environment.
