Housekeeper/Janitorial

SUMMARY This position is responsible for cleaning assigned areas of building. In addition, every position in the Montgomery YMCA is responsible for upholding the Judeo-Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character - caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Wet & dry mopping, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash, general cleaning, clean windows, sanitize showers, saunas & whirlpool areas, clean empty lockers, strip and wax floors, check for maintenance problems. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE No prior experience or training. CERTIFICATIONS AND TRAININGS Current CPR First Aid/AED or within 30 days of hire. Required YMCA Safety Trainings The YMCA of Greater Montgomery is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
