Key Responsibilities

• Produce and distribute pharmaceutical products with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring the right patient receives the correct drug in the proper amount at the right time.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose; recommend changes or alternatives as needed.
• Apply pharmacokinetic concepts to prescribe appropriate drug therapies requiring dosage adjustments per hospital protocol.
• Recommend appropriate laboratory tests and monitor values to assess therapeutic efficacy and identify potential toxicities or side effects.
• Detect and report suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide patient care services across multiple age populations, from neonate through geriatric, demonstrating an understanding of functional and developmental needs.

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Pharmacist License or Letter of Authority from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
• Ability to work night shifts on a 7 on / 7 off schedule.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacokinetics, drug therapy monitoring, and adverse drug reaction reporting.
• Experience providing pharmaceutical care across diverse patient age groups, including neonates through geriatric populations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting.
• Familiarity with clinical protocols related to dosage adjustments and therapeutic drug monitoring.
