AI/ML Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an AI/ML Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience building production-grade AI/ML solutions, including RAG systems, embeddings, and scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms.


Rate Range: $65/Hour to $70/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


AI/ML Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable data products that process and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured engineering data.
• Develop and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, semantic search, and agentic AI workflows.
• Design and optimize data pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and near real-time processing systems with strong reliability and observability.
• Lead cloud-native development initiatives using containerization, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and CI/CD practices for secure deployments.
• Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and system reliability through monitoring, validation, incident management, and performance optimization.
• Create analytics and decision-support tools that convert complex technical data into actionable insights for engineering teams and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience building and supporting production software, data engineering, or AI/ML systems.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying RAG, generative AI, embeddings, and scalable data pipeline solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (preferably GCP).
• Proven ability to architect, operate, and optimize reliable data products, distributed workloads, and AI-driven analytics solutions with strong focus on system reliability, data quality, and performance.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $70.00 per hour
