Beloit Health System is adding a Per Diem- Registered Nurse to our team at NorthPointe Ambulatory Surgery Care Center located at the beautiful NorthPointe Campus in Roscoe, IL.

Shift: 1st
Schedule: 7a-5:30p/Per Diem
Hours per week: Varied/Per Diem
Benefits Status: Limited Benefits
Department: NorthPointe Ambulatory Surgery Care Center

The Registered Nurse at our Ambulatory Surgery Care Center will care for, plan, coordinate, supervise and provide for patients throughout their life span. Under general supervision, they deliver care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. The nurses at the Ambulatory Surgery Care Center provide care and support patients before, during and after surgery and/or procedures. Nurses may also assist the surgeon and the surgical/procedural team in their tasks.

The Registered Nurse at our Ambulatory Surgery Care Center will:

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
Work with all members of the health care team to provide optimal care to the patient throughout their surgery center experience.
Serve as the communication liaison to family and members of the operating team.
Assist in patient education during all phases of their experience at the ASTC.
Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format with computer software application appropriate to position.
Prep operating/procedure room for patient/procedure.
Identify actual and potential risk to patients and others and takes action to minimize or eliminate risk and maximize safety.
Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the care continuum.
Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
May also direct care provided by licensed practical nurses and nursing aides.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing
ADN Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable
Current Illinois Nursing License and Wisconsin Nursing License
Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
