Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: None required Must-Have: Basic med-surg knowledge Description: This position involves working in a 33-bed medical-surgical unit. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1. Staffing includes charge nurses, RNs, nursing techs, and unit secretaries. The unit utilizes a documentation system for patient records. Scheduling consists of every other weekend shifts, with flexibility for time-off requests. Traveling staff may be required to float to other units as needed. Patient experience initiatives require whiteboards to be filled out for communication. There are no specific certifications required for this role. The required dress code includes navy blue, black, royal blue, or gray scrubs. Team collaboration is emphasized, and first-time travelers have had positive experiences on this unit.
