Gas Locate Technician

Job Description We are looking for a field technician to join our Advanced Gas Operations (AGO) division as a Locator. This role involves locating gas lines and other underground utilities using best‑in‑class equipment. The position is full‑time, daytime, with overtime, weekend, and on‑call shifts as needed. Compensation $18.00 Hourly Responsibilities Use locating equipment to identify the location of gas lines within a designated area and mark the area with paint and flags to protect utility infrastructure. Some hand‑digging to unearth gas lines may be required. Develop knowledge and understanding of underground utility infrastructure. Follow all company, client, state, and federal damage prevention guidelines. As a technician in our AGO division, you may locate other utilities in addition to gas lines, depending upon the project you are assigned. Benefits 100% paid training – available from day one. Requirements Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Available for overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as required. Ability to travel locally during the business day; occasional out‑of‑area or overnight travel may be needed. Pass a drug screen (safety‑sensitive position). Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Able to stand, walk, and lift heavy items up to 75 lbs for extended periods. Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities. Computer proficiency. Ability to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints; basic math skills for distance calculations.
