Travel RN Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600 Location: Boston, Massachusetts Start Date: February 1, 2027 Assignment Duration: 8 weeks, ending March 27, 2027 Schedule: 36 hours per week; 72 hours guaranteed biweekly Shift Duration: Rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts covering days, evenings, and nights Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays required Call: No call required Float Assignment: Medical-surgical float pool supporting approximately 15 inpatient units Patient Ratios: Approximately 4:1 on days and 6:1 on nights Scheduling: A set schedule cannot be guaranteed; assignments may vary based on unit needs Orientation: Weekly orientation, generally held on Mondays Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Requirements Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required at the time of submission At least 3 years of recent, related medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience Previous travel nursing experience required Level I trauma experience required Teaching hospital experience and specialty-area expertise preferred Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications Recent Epic experience required Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate web-based applications Ability to adapt quickly to changing assignments and float across multiple medical-surgical specialties Travel Nurse Responsibilities Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients across medical-surgical and telemetry units Float among units specializing in neurology, cardiac care, bariatrics, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, genitourinary care, orthopedics, oncology, transplant, and vascular services Perform telemetry monitoring, 12-lead EKGs, patient assessments, medication administration, and care coordination Manage and monitor therapies including Lasix infusions, blood transfusions, and respiratory treatments Administer nebulizer treatments as ordered and collaborate with respiratory therapy regarding ventilator management Promote patient safety, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams Adapt to unit assignments that may be provided close to the start of a shift while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care Apply now for this Med/Surg Telemetry travel nursing opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts, and expand your experience in a leading academic healthcare environment.
