Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care to assigned patients in the ICU.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist in floating to other nursing units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, preferably in critical care.
• CCRN Certification is preferred.
• COVID vaccination/boosters are preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience is required.

Schedule

This position will be on a night shift from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM.
