As an Environmental Field Technician for Blue Granite Environmental, LLC, you will be responsible for performing tasks on a variety of projects including groundwater remediation, landfill gas collection control systems operation and maintenance.  Much of your time will be spent in the field and traveling to and from client sites.  Currently our clients’ sites are in NH, ME, MA, & VT.  Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

•           Under supervision operate, monitor, maintain and collect data on groundwater treatment systems and landfill gas control and recovery systems,

•           Perform calibration, operation and maintenance of sensitive electronic data collection devices,

•           Collect data from groundwater treatment systems and wellfield gas extraction and environmental monitoring locations,

•           Perform necessary environmental system adjustments, data collection, maintenance, interpret and upload data,

•           Develop a general understanding of environmental regulations related to environmental systems and operation,

•           Assist with environmental projects associated with groundwater treatment systems and gas collection control systems.

Training

•           40-hour HAZWOPER training (provided)

•           Annual HAZWOPER 8-hour refresher

•           John Zink Flare School

Qualifications

•           1-3 years' experience in a related field,

•           Associate degree a plus but not required,

•           Sound mechanical skills and attention to detail,

•           Ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds on occasion;

•           Ability to work outdoors approximately 75% of each workday,

•           Ability to walk steep and rough terrain for considerable distances daily,

•           Required to wear personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hardhat, safety boots, safety vest, personal multi-gas monitor, etc.) in accordance with company Health and Safety Standards,

•           Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required,

•           Ability to travel independently to projects in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts,

•           Ability to stay overnight 1-2 nights per month as needed,

•           Ability to work independently in the field in varying weather conditions while maintaining strict adherence to operating procedures and safety policies,

•           High school diploma/GED (associates degree is a plus).
