Fund Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Asset Management Fund Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting functions for a portfolio of hedge funds, managed accounts, and corporate entities. This role is responsible for overseeing monthly NAV reviews, fund financial reporting, audit coordination, management and incentive fee calculations, and partnering with internal teams and external service providers. Key Responsibilities Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare and review annual fund financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Review monthly estimated and final Fund NAV packages prepared by external fund administrators. Perform financial statement reviews, tie-outs, and variance analysis. Support accounting for hedge funds, managed accounts, master-feeder structures, and corporate entities. Ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting. Fund Operations Recalculate management and incentive fees and prepare wire requests for fee collection. Reconcile fund activity with prime brokers and fund administrators. Review portfolio activity, cash movements, subscriptions, and redemptions. Investigate and resolve NAV discrepancies and accounting exceptions. Audit & Process Improvement Coordinate the annual audit process with auditors and fund administrators. Partner with Investor Relations, Middle Office, and Operations to meet reporting deadlines. Maintain fund accounting policies and operational procedures. Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes. Participate in special projects and new fund launches. Required Qualifications 10+ years of hedge fund, fund accounting, or asset management accounting experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and investment company accounting. Experience reviewing NAV packages prepared by third-party fund administrators. Knowledge of management and incentive fee calculations. Experience coordinating annual audits and working with prime brokers. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
