Our hospitals offer advanced specialty care with deep local roots, combining the strength of a leading health system with convenient suburban locations and strong community connections. As part of the Respiratory Therapy department, you'll play a vital role in delivering critical care to patients in Intensive Care Units, ensuring they receive life-saving treatments and support. Role Overview As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll deliver essential life-support, resuscitation, and medical gases therapy to critical care patients, primarily in Intensive Care Units. You'll perform diagnostic procedures, maintain clinical expertise across various business units, and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and colleagues. Your work directly impacts patient outcomes and supports the broader healthcare team in delivering exceptional care. What You Will Do Deliver life-support, resuscitation, and medical gases therapy to critical care patients. Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units. Maintain clinical expertise and support assignments across various business units. Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees. Document all aspects of patient care accurately and supervise respiratory therapy students and externs. Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program. Associate of Science Degree (minimum) or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy (preferred). Recent graduate or two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience in a Tertiary Hospital. Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care. Current Respiratory Therapist License in the State of Michigan (or obtained within 90 days of graduation for new graduates). Preferred Qualifications Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy.
